River Plantation Subdivision
Bellevue, Davidson Co., TN
2021 Feb 16
Took a walk around my subdivision earlier this afternoon and hear a SANDHILL
CRANE calling but could not find it. However, later this afternoon as I stepped
out my front door, I again heard the bugling, and this time I spotted 37 cranes
in V formation flying south. Guess their bird brains are not so stupid after
all.

Subject: [TN-Bird] Rufous Hummingbird Grainger County
A female rufous hummingbird that was reported last week as a ruby throat was
caught and banded today by Mark Armstrong. Bird has been coming to this home
since Halloween. Visitors are welcome. 440 Old Stage Coach Rd Rutledge in
Grainger County. You can pull up in front of house and see feeders. Just stay
in your car.
Bird was not seen in the afternoon after banding. Probably shunning feeders
from the trauma but hopefully will return tomorrow. There are actually 3
feeders the hummer is using in the immediate area.
