9/30/2016 Simerly Creek Rd, Carter Co. TN

Brown Creeper seen and heard singing; this is not far from breeding grounds on
Roan Mt & etc, but at this elevation (aprox 2200 ft) it should be a migrant, my
first-of-season.

Yesterday morning aprox 90 Broad-winged hawks were observed lifting up & moving
along the ridge, trying to catch any thermals forming in partial sunshine
before the afternoon rain set in.
3 Com. Ravens were up with them, just soaring taking advantage of the thermals.
