Hi folks, Tracey and I are in the market for a high-end birding spotting scope and tripod. We have read a few of the online reviews, and looked through a couple scopes in the field. We have a decent idea of what we want. But before we drop big bucks at a store, or online, we were wondering if any of you have one you're looking to sell? We'd also like your advise on tripods. I'm not sold on Bogens, but the couple stores we've been in that have high end scopes either only have these finger-pinching, hard-to-fix, wallet-busters, or they carry a token Velbon that is too short for my tall wife. Any thoughts? (I still use a $60 Velbon I bought in 1992 and have abused terribly. I'd keep it except it hurts her back...) Please reply offline. thanks, Charlie ===== ************************************************** Charlie Muise, Senior Naturalist Now living in Maryville, TN Still working in Great Smoky Mountains National Park "Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm" Ralph Waldo Emerson __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
