[TN-Bird] nesting cormorants in Kingsport

Riverfront greenway in Kingsport, TN
Dbl-cr. Cormorant: 2 occupied nests among 8 active nests of Great Blue Herons.
These were on the island just downstream from Netherland Inn.
This is the second nesting at this site. The other was a single unsuccessful
attempt in 2006. These are likely overflow from the colony nesting at Holston
Army Ammunition Plant a bit further downstream in Hawkins Co.
This adds to the growing number of nest sites in Tenn.
