The Black-throated Sparrow continued to be cooperative today.
I arrived this morning about 11:15 but after Steve McConnell
left. Nevertheless the word passed down was that the bird
had been seen at about 10:15 and 10:45. After over 30 minutes
of unsuccessful searching, Morris Williams arrived and began
pointing out the area close to the "HERE" sign where he had
previously seen the bird. Within about 5 minutes the bird
appeared on cue and ranged perhaps 40 yard to either side
of the HERE sign in the brush piles near the edge of the
woods. It was searching for food by itself and called
several times.

As Steve noted the mud is getting worse so parking where the
woods begin and walking in the short distance may soon be
the better course of action.

Thanks to Morris and the land owners for letting us see
such a wonderful wanderer.
