[tn-bird] giant hornets

Can't tell for sure without looking but a "giant hornet" may be one of the
cicada killers, and there were lots of them this year because of the big
cicada hatch (thirteen or seventeen year, I forget which). Try going to a
big search engine like Google, click on "Image" and type in cicada killer.
See if your giant hornet is one of those. If so, they are wonderfully
interesting insects, and not only catch and kill hornets, but some of them
also feed on large caterpilars...fabulous big predators of the insect
world!
