[TN-Bird] fall bird count and fall birdblitz in putnam and clay counties

The tenth Fall Bird Count (FBC) in Putnam County was conducted September
19 with 123 species found within that one-county area.  A Fall
BirdBlitz--a count not expected to be repeated annually--was held in
Clay County September 26 during rain that persisted from before dawn to
mid-afternoon, and 88 species were located.  The best bird found during
the Putnam County FBC was a Least Bittern by Barb Stedman, and the best
bird found during the Clay County BirdBlitz was an American Avocet by
Winston Walden, Mike O'Rouke, and JD Becker.
