Meredith's remarks about warblers makes a point. Most of the bird species available to cat predation are our more common bird feeder species. They usually catch finches or juncos... ...and if we went out lynching people that kill hundreds of songbirds, my Dad would have been lynched. He claimed he had permission because of our commercial fruit orchard to kill them as significant pests. Many a mockingbird bit the dust, though I argued with him about it regularly! Oh, and I didn't start this "virtual brawl" (good phrase, Mereidith). It was Terry and that Florida guide! I just couldn't let Terry "cringe" alone!
