In our front yard on Cherokee Rd. in Washington Co., TN on July 25, 2022 I saw
an American Redstart at approximately 1800 ft. elevation. I don't usually see
them here in the middle of the summer.
On August 7, 2022, in the same tree, I saw a Tennessee Warbler, earlier than I
usually see them here. I saw its gray crown, light supercilium and darker
eyeline, white underparts including undertail coverts, greenish back and wings,
faint wingbar, and thin bill.
On August 8, while eating breakfast outside at Eggs Up Grill in the Johnson
City Mall, Dianne Draper and I heard a Fish Crow calling from the direction of
the south end of the Mall. We have heard Fish Crows there earlier this summer
as well.
