I saw a yellow-crowned night-heron below the spillway on the Maryville
Greenway, near the Maryville Towers at one o'clock this afternoon. This is the
fourth time (out of about eight or ten visits) that I have seen it since July
28th. Others have reported it on three additional days since then as well. It
is typically seen in the morning or early to mid afternoon. Do not wait until
late afternoon lest it be gone and you be devoured by the large hordes of
Pokemon Go enthusiasts who emerge here at that time of day.
