I made a mistake on month for the Yellow-crowned Night-Heron sightings at
Sevierville City Park by Chris Myers and myself. The month should be July, not
June. Sorry for any confusion.

On July 14, Ryan Trenkamp observed and photographed an adult Yellow-crowned
Night-Heron along the creek at Sevierville City Park in Sevierville, TN. It has
since been observed by Chris Myers of Sevierville on June 17 and myself.on June
18. This is the first eBird record of a Yellow-crowned Night-Heron in the
county and could be a first for Sevier County.
The heron has been seen on the small creek created by a river island that flows
by the park and has not been seen on the main channel.
