I was in Lake County this afternoon and had a few extra minutes to hit some good Wind Bird spots on this windy Tuesday. April 24, 2007 Lake County, TN (specific location listed below) at the Ibis Hole: Semipalmated Plover - 1 Greater Yellowlegs - 1 Lesser Yellowlegs - 6 Solitary Sandpiper - 1 Pectoral Sandpiper - 11 Spotted Sandpiper - 1 also several each of Blue-winged Teal, Great Egret, Killdeer, and Mallard. at the Phillipy Pits: Black-necked Stilt - 1 Greater Yellowlegs - 11 Lesser Yellowlegs - 37 Stilt Sandpiper - 2 Pectoral Sandpiper - 100+ Solitary Sandpiper - 2 at the Phillipy Unit of Black Bayou Waterfowl Refuge (in the back corner by Donnell Rd): WILLET - 1 Greater Yellowlegs - 2 Lesser Yellowlegs - 5 N. Shoveler - 12 Good birding!
