Speaking of Wild Turkeys, as I was returning to work after lunch today, 5 flew (barely) across the road THROUGH heavy traffic on Middlebrook Pike where it cuts through the gap on Beaver Ridge and magically becomes Hardin Valley Rd (ok, it was once more complicated than that but when they four-laned all of it, it just became one continuous stretch of road that changes name along the way). AAANYWAAAAY... I said 'through' traffic because they were literally at or below windshield level and several cars had to stop to let them pass. Folks in the other cars were giving some great looks and I would have loved to hear what they were saying and thinking. Probably "Turkeys can fly?"
