Today (21st) at noon there was a White-winged Scoter at Middlebrook Lake in Bristol, plus a few Ring-necked Ducks & Hooded Mergansers. Also, acting on a tip from Mike Poe, I saw three Redheads on two separate spring-fed farm ponds (all others frozen) in the Bowmantown community of western Washington Co. Other ducks present on these ponds included Gadwall, Am. Wigeon, Mallard, Am. Black Duck, N. Pintail (3), & Green-winged Teal -- a pretty good list of ducks for that area. ################### Rick Knight Johnson City, TN rknight@xxxxxxxxxxxxx =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net is owned by the Tennessee Ornithological Society Neither the society(TOS) nor its moderator(s) endorse the views or opinions expressed by the members of this discussion group.
