We live just across the hill from Ed Gleaves and have had one of the best May 4s on record in our yard...40 sp. and counting at 6:15 p.m. At 2 p.m. took a walk around the hood in the direction of the Gleaves' and had...White-crowned Sprarrow, a gorgeous male in bright white (Sharon said "Neon white1" plumage with a White-throated, and a Chippy. The resident Great Horned Owl was being mobbed by crows on Robertson Academy. Twelve warbler sp. in the yard proper including our first Golden-winged. The Tennessee's are DEAFENING!. Least Flycatcher, Warbling Vireo (and White-eyed, Red-eyed, and "Solitary"), Baltimore Oriole pair, a dozen Rose-Br. Grosbeaks, but only one male, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Eastern Kingbirds, and more. And Ed, we got the Turkey Vulture you sent flying our way. Happy birding. What a Spring!
