Managed to get out two days this past week mainly in search of spring
butterflies. However, I just can't make myself NOT notice the birds along the
way. Had the following spring newcomers last week.

Wednesday, April 1 (Wildcat Cover area of northern White County):

Purple Martin (FOS)
Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher (FOS)

Saturday, April 4 (Lost Creek-Whites Cave-Lost Creek areas of White County and
Firetower Rd., all in SE county):

Broad-winged Hawk (FOS)
Red-eyed Vireo (FOS)
Cliff Swallow (FOS)
Black-and-White Warbler (FOS)

Good birding to one and all,

Doug Downs
Sparta, White County
