I saw Chloe's report and went to find the Willets. I arrived a few minutes
after 7 and saw 8 Willets preening in the muddy water. I watched them for 10
minutes from the side of the road to see them all fly up together and fly north
until they were completely out of sight. I hate that it doesn't look good for
seeing them tomorrow.
Thanks Chloe for your report!! New state bird for me and one that I have been
particularly excited to see.

On the way home from school, my brother Nolan spotted and photographed 7
"Western" Willets on Barfield Crescent Road in Murfreesboro. They were in a
"pond" in a muddy construction area beside the large horse fields with black
fences and a big barn that says "FarmPaint.com" (or something like that).
I'll be checking tomorrow morning to see if they're still around, and
hopefully I can provide better directions.
