[TN-Bird] Western Grebe at 7 Points Rec. Area

Went to Percy Priest Lake looking for the Red-throated Loon
previously reported. Not much at Cook Recreation Area,
so I drove the short distance to 7 Points Recreation Area
for a look at a different area of the lake. I walked around
the road loop counterclockwise and enjoyed a number of
CEDAR WAXWINGs coming to a water drip. After about 20 minutes
I began a careful search of the water and almost immediately
came upon a WESTERN GREBE relatively close to shore. It
stretched once and then went into sleeping mode for perhaps
5 minutes. It became active again and I confirmed that it
was a WESTERN and not a CLARK'S and tried to take some
photos. It began diving and at one point I thought that I
had lost it, but I refound it by the time Phillip Casteel
arrived at 9:35. Eventually the bird moved farther out
in the lake. We walked over to the boat ramp, and at 10:25
it was still easily visible in a scope, well to the right
of center as you looked out from the boat ramp.
