Had a productive late morning at Radnor today before the weather rolls in.
Several FOS for me:
Blackburnian Warbler - Spillway & North Lake Trail intersection
Blackpoll Warbler - Bench #13
Rose-breasted Grosbeak M - Bench #13
Summer Tanager - Bamboo grove by foot bridge
Other notables:
Blue-winged Warbler (2. one singing all morning by bench #13 and another by
the spillway on the north side.)
Scarlet Tanager (2)
Hooded Warbler (2. bench #19 area)
Yellow-throated Warbler
Common Yellowthroat (bench #19 area)
Northern Parula
Louisiana Waterthrush (2)
White-eyed Vireo (2)
Red-eyed Vireo (6)
and I kid you not more than 35 Palm Warblers. I stopped counting them. They
rivaled the butter butts in numbers and aggravation.
There were 15 Pied-billed Grebes on the lake. Highest count I've ever had
at Radnor. And right before I left I observed a Red-tailed Hawk screeching
at and chasing off a Bald Eagle. Good day!
