When considering this issue, one should keep in mind that the conventional energy sources that the wind power will be replacing likely involve practices such as mountain-top removal coal mining, offshore oil drilling, and hydraulic fracturing. None of these practices are particularly friendly to birds and their habitats either. There is no clean energy; it all carries an environmental cost. The only clean BTU is the one you do not use.
