Started early on the east side of Reelfoot with another fruitless try for
Common Moorhen and Least Bittern.
On the west side, the Black Bayou Wheelchair hunting area has been irrigated,
all the ponds are full, and there is very little wader/shorebird habitat
available.

Tiptonville City Park/ferry landing:  only thing of significance was a few
Black Terns on the river

Island 13:  the worst spots in the road have been graded and it is OK for now
for any vehicle
There is still an area where sand has been deposited on the road that requires
some caution.
The habitat is ideal with lots of shorebird area at the south end of the lake.
Seen here, 300+ shorebirds, most were Least Sandpipers with numerous Killdeer.
Also seen, Lesser Yellowlegs, Pectoral, Semipalmated, Spotted, Western
Sandpipers, and quite a few SP Plovers.
There is a large flooded field south of the road on the way in, that had about
50 waders, mostly Great Egrets, but also Snowy Egrets and LB Herons.

Mud Island:  nothing of consequence

Presidents Island:  Western Kingbird at 1525 Harbor Drive
Lots of grain on the ground and numerous doves about

Ensley:  maybe 500 shorebirds, the only ones identified were Least and Pectoral
Sandpipers, and Killdeer
One BN Stilt only seen.

Island 13 should be good through fall migration, access may again become a
problem after heavy rains

Cheers
