Good evening birders,

I have received a request from the research team of Dr. Thomas Palmeri of
Vanderbilt. He is soliciting members of TOS to participate in a study he is
conducting that involves, among other things, research regarding visual
perception, cognizance and visual representation. Birders of all levels are
encouraged to participate. Information on how to participate are included
below, including an attachment at the end.

Please take a moment to read their request and consider participation in
their research.

Good Birding!

Dear President Routledge,

I am contacting you on behalf of Professor Thomas Palmeri of Vanderbilt
University. Our laboratory studies expertise. We are currently conducting a
research project testing birding experts funded by the National Science
Foundation. We are trying to recruit birders of all experience levels, from
beginners to experts.

I am writing to ask for your permission to contact members of the Tennessee
Ornithological Society to see if they might be interested in participating in
our research. Could you help us to send a brief invitation (please see
attached) to your group, either directly by email, forwarded by email on our
behalf, or posted in a newsletter or website?

Our experiments are all online. Birders can simply register and participate by
copying and pasting this link into their browser:
