Brief visit to the Turkey Creek Wetland in west Knox County early Saturday afternoon (March 1) - just the part of the wetland viewable from the parking lot at Baptist Hospital. While there was more water than there has been recently, it was very muddy looking and there was not a single duck or goose to be found. Three Red-Shouldered Hawks put on a nice show, however, flying from tree to tree, calling. Two were having a dispute with one diving on the other a few times. Two briefly perched side by side. All appeared to be adults. Carole Gobert, Knoxville, TN _________________________________________________________________ Helping your favorite cause is as easy as instant messaging.
