[TN-Bird] Tree Swallow, Rusty Blackbirds at Shelby Bottoms, Davidson Co.

Shelby Park and Bottoms
Davidson Co.
 
This morning Phillip Casteel, Tony Lance, and I birded Phase 3 of Shelby  
Bottoms and saw our first of season Tree Swallow, only one, just after  leaving 
the parking lot.   Lots of other great birds were seen  including 2 Fox 
Sparrows, but nothing unusual.  Afterwards, Phillip and I  searched the lake at 
Shelby Park for the Cackling Geese that have been there,  but had no luck.  A 
lot 
of the Canadas were missing too.  The lone  Snow Goose is still there, along 
with 1 female Green-winged Teal and 1  female Hooded Merganser.  Behind the 
Shelby Nature Center there were  77 Rusty Blackbirds, males and females.
