I, too had a trip to Texas, but to the Houston-Matagorda area for the Texas Ornithological Society meeting. They only pictures of note I took were of the Attwater Prairie Chicken, a bird I thought I would never see. The Attwaters are a sub-species of the Greater Prairie Chicken and in big trouble. The photoos are posted on <flicker.com>. I have heard that the 2 displaying males have been moved. Sometimes you are just lucky.
