05/30/13 Tennessee NWR Duck River Unit Humphreys County A single scissor-tailed flycatcher was observed gathering nesting material for several minutes off the 1/10 levee. It then flew out over Pool 10 out of site. This is only the second observation I have had for one on the refuge. It would look like there is a good chance this is a new nesting bird for the refuge as it would have to fly at least a mile in the direction it was going to leave the refuge. Clayton Ferrell
