Birders, Had the Jabiru yesterday at 6:01pm Central slightly west of FM 1425 on TX 490 on the south side of the road.? About a dozen other folks were there at the same time.? It was in weeds about 3 ft high about even with two telephone poles that had been cut off at about 5 feet tall.? We had good views from about 100 feet, then the bird flew to the fence line to the east where we left it.? From the pictures in the National Geo guide, it was an adult, but in flight, had some brown in the wings(? subadult). I will be flying home this afternoon(Fri) a happy camper, but thanks to Mary Gustafson(LRG RBA) who gave me a call at work to make sure I knew, and to Bernice who gave me a quick cell call while I was checking the previous site on FM1425.?? Bird for me was: TX#400 ABA#806 World#2612 David Chaffin Cleveland TN temporarily working in Mission TX =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
