Tennessee Ornithological Society held It's fall meeting in Chattanooga over the past weekend. We had great weather, good birds and fellowship on the field trips. At the paper session we heard from students and professionals about interesting bird work being done recently. The board of directors meeting went well with several items considered and a couple of resolutions passed. That, including bird list from the weekend, will be reported on elsewhere, but here I would like to extend some brief thank-you's. . Thanks to CTOS president David Stone and the Chattanooga chapter for their hospitality, the leaders of field trips, and to the Chattanooga Nature Center for opening their doors to us. Thanks to Chuck Nicholson for organizing the paper session, and thanks to the presenters who shared their work. Thanks to all who traveled from across the state, although as expected east was better represented than west, to help make the weekend a success. Thanks to TOS directors and interested members who joined in the lively discussions and participated in the work of the organization. . In a future post look for notice of the winter TOS gathering , tentatively planned for Wheeler Refuge, Alabama, the weekend of Jan. 24th. .
