ANNUAL BLUEBIRD CONFERENCE

(and other native cavity -nesting birds) at Tennessee Bluebird Trail's

"TENNESSEE BLUEBIRD CONFERENCE"    November 8-10, 2002

Ellington Agricultural Center, TWRA meeting room, Nashville, TN

 

"Tennessee Bluebird Trails" is the state-wide affiliate of the North American 
Bluebird Society and presents this conference in an effort to provide EVERYONE 
interested in Bluebird Conservation an opportunity to receive tangible 
information & suggestions from respected Bluebird Experts.

SPEAKERS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY
   Conference participants will be treated to the very best speakers! Topics 
will include:

 

The Joy of Bluebirds by North American Bluebird Society President, Doug 
LeVasseur

Are You Ready for Tree Swallows? by Dick Tuttle, Ohio Bluebird Society, and 
nationally acclaimed speaker on bluebirds and tree swallows

Carolina Chickadees- a 30 year study by Dr. David Pitts of UT-Martin

Bluebirds Year-Round by Tennessee Bluebird Trails President, Steve Garr

Predator Control on the Bluebird Trail by Virginia Bluebird Society President, 
Julie Kutruff

 

GREAT BIRDING FIELD TRIPS, LOTS of DOOR PRIZES, AND SATURDAY LUNCHEON BUFFET 
INCLUDED in Registration Fee!
 The Conference includes Field Trips to the Shelby Bottoms Bluebird & Tree 
Swallow Trail in the metropolitan area of Nashville (will include a guided Bird 
Walk), as well as a Field Trip to Warner Park in Nashville to visit their 
Historic Bluebird Trail (established in 1936). This tour will include a Bird 
Walk and "Bird Banding Demonstration". A break in the Saturday lectures will 
take us on a bird walk of a "backyard habitat" to view and hear a variety of 
native songbirds. Optional Group Dinner at the "Bluebird Café"! Each 
participant will receive a complimentary "Bluebird Data Packet" filled with 
important, reliable information.

information for Beginners and very experienced Bluebirders alike!
