Sweetwater Island

Took a drive on this beautiful day to Sw
eetwater Island Louden Co.. Not been there before. Road deadends and We
observed the no trespassing sign on the road down to lake by house. Tree on
island was full of double crested cormorants. Approximately 50. There were a
few waterfowl ? I could not identify . Need to check pictures on computer to
hopefully see well enough to Id.
Owner of property came out to see what we were doing. Was nice and pleasant..
Said as a kid they used to play on the island (sandbar) but it’s gotten “nasty”
from the birds. Another car had pulled up but did not get out or interact.
Take exit 72 off south I-75 on to Hwy72 .
No pelicans, probably took off in the beautiful moonlight.
March, out like a lamb. 🤗
