Birders,
This morning at 7AM, Susan Hollyday and I arrived at the Richland Greenway for
a nice walk. The weather was certainly plesant and the flowers lining the
greenway were beautiful. We saw most of the expected birds minus any
Kingfishers. We were plesantly surprised to find three adult Yellow-crowned
Night Herons land in a remote pool and fish for a time. We saw no juveniles.
We are aware that they may live in the area but also very surprised to see
them. They were still in their breeding feathers.
