Middlebrook Lake
east Bristol
Sullivan County

Veterans Administration Center Pond
Johnson City
Washington County

The arrival of the frontal system and northern weather development brought
four (4) Surf Scoters and a flock of 67 Cormorants to Middlebrook Lake,
at Bristol.

One of the scoters was an adult male and an absolute beautiful bird to
see at very close range.

The Hooded Merganser count was 164 and Gadwall (4) were with them.

Jeff Larsen called to report that the Common Loon was still at the VA
Center pond in Johnson City and it evidently scared away a small flock of
Bufflehead while he was watching.

Let's go birding.....
