Birders, I bought my first Duck Stamp in 1984 and it cost $7.50. I don't exactly remember why I bought it but I knew a guy from Mobile, AL had painted it (American Wigeon) and it was to help protect wetlands for birds. I have purchased one every year since. I am sure it helped some bird somewhere and interestingly the price went up in 1987 and in 1991 arrived at $15.00. I also have proudly been buying the Blue Bird plates since they were first available. Guess the question is, what is the BEST way to help? I think we all wish to help but aren't sure of the best way to do it. Linda V.
