Jeff Cowell and I visited Shelby Bottoms and Radnor Lake today from 0630 until Mother's Day obligations cut us off at 1000. Both sites are in Davidson County. There were still good numbers of migrants around, some of the more interesting sightings were: at Shelby Bottoms just at the point where the paved river trail cuts due west, a singing Wilson's Warbler was seen, and while we were watching it an Alder Flycatcher started calling and was seen very well. We continued on and found 2 more Wilson's Warblers, plus a Marsh Wren singing and seen from the trail. At the top of the hill, we heard another Wilson's W, no sign of Mourning or Connecticut Warbler. At Radnor Lake, 2 more Wilson's Warblers were encountered as well as several Canada Warblers. I was very surprised that we did not see another birder all morning!
