Twice in the last few days I have seen 2 Eurasian Collared Doves flying over Hwy 368 (Vietnam Veterans Highway) in Hendersonville, Sumner county, 200 yards east of exit 6. Today while bike riding north of Gallatin, I heard and saw 3 Dickcissels in two locations. There were two calling, one on each side of Vantrease Road in fields, immediately east of Station Camp Creek Road, about 1.5 miles north of Long Hollow Pike. The other was on Pee Dee Branch Road, in a tree at Jesus Reign Fellowship Church, about 1 mile west of Station Camp Creek Road. Pee Dee is on the left about a half mile north of Vantrease Road. A male Bobwhite was calling at the side of Station Camp Creek Road, and I easily spotted him about 40 feet from the highway.
