[TN-Bird] Strange and sad find

I had a very strange and sad find today. 
 
One of my neighbors had set out a sticky trap for mice. This was in the  
form of a small, rectangular cardboard box. It was open at both ends with the  
glue along the bottom interior, and measured about 1-1/2" high x 3" wide x 
6"  long.
 
Two Carolina Wrens had apparently entered the trap - one from each end, and 
 gotten stuck. Both birds had died.
 
I hate to make a post like this, but wanted others to be aware of the  
potential avian dangers of these types of traps.
