Standifer Gap Marsh, Chattanooga, Hamilton County, TN
November 23, 2005, morning
  Virginia Rail, 4
Sora (?), 2 suspicious single notes
  Marsh Wren, 2
  Sedge Wren, 1
  Winter Wren, 1

One each of the wrens located under the power line at the west side of the
water,
get there most easily by wading (12" boots) from the gravel road

In a very active group of small birds, including ---

  Hermit Thrust, 2 or more
  Golden-crowned Kinglet, 3-5 or more
  Ruby-crowned Kinglet, 3 or more
  Carolina Wren
  Carolina Chickadee, 2-3

--- one warbler which looked very much like a Tennessee Warbler,
first winter, uniform greenish gray, no wing bars, no white
or yellow or other color, very dim eye stripe if any. This would be a
late but possible date.

From the turn-around at the end of the gravel road,
walk past the log pile, across the grassy area and
into the pines 30 ft or so.
