I finally managed this morning to find the ST Flycatcher nest on Florence Road in Rutherford County. It is on the telephone pole overlooking the quarry at the Tn 840 overpass, directly across from the "John Sallee" bridge sign. When I went by there early, the female was on the wires, no sign of the male. When I returned, she was on the nest, but a couple of hours later, neither bird was in sight. Not sure whether there are even eggs yet, but hopefully there will be an extended family soon. The birds in the past have tended to stay in the general area even after fledging, until moving south in the fall, which seems to be on the early side of fall migration There were also 2 E Collared Doves there this morning Cheers Terry Witt Murfreesboro Tn =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
