Just bought a Nikon in that price range from the wood thrush shop on Harding
Road in Nashville I like it.

From my small screen. Forgive the typos.

Subject: [TN-Bird] Spotting Scope Recommendations

Looking for a moderately priced spotting scope with a max total cost (scope and
eye piece) of $750. I know scopes and binoculars are like camera lenses in
that you get what you pay for. What I want and what I can afford are not one
in the same. I assume not every birder can afford the fanciest scopes out
there. So what do you have and what do you like about it if it falls within my
price range?
