Gibson Co Mary Queen Rd I made another attempt Monday morning when I got off work for the Spotted Towhee. There was a light drizzle when I arrived about 09:00. I didn't have high hopes, as there wasn't much activity when I arrived. I heard the occasional Eastern Towhee call, which was encouraging. After about 30 minutes, down by the sharp curve to the west of the '99' mailbox, I distinctly heard the Spotted Towhee call. My previous visit I am sure I heard it call once as well, so being familiar with the difference in call note will definitely help. I got a very quick look at the bird as it flew from cover at the edge of the wooded area that has been cleared. I stayed in the area for another hour and never saw or heard the bird again. But, it's nice to finally add another bird to my TN list. I plan to check the area again, as I would love to get a photo of this bird. Thanks Mark, for another bird! Good Birding!!
