Monday morning, I made a quick run off Union Rd. in Hamblen Co. I turned north on Bent Creek Rd., jogged left (west) on Silver City Rd, and north again on Slop Creek rd. The Bent Creek road has some good edge habitat, and I once again found a good collection of prairie warblers. (7). I also got a good look at two of them, as they flew right over me and explored the cedar ten feet away. Other good finds were; Red-tailed Hawk, Red-eyed vireo, House wren, Hairy woodpecker, White-crowned sparrow, chipping sparrow, field sparrow, phoebe, Orchard Oriole, c. yellowthroat, and a N.Parula warbler. (he was singing nearby, but I could notspot him). I'm still looking for that big "warbler wave". Bird on!
