Starting with a Blue-headed Vireo along Monsanto Road in Maury County
yesterday afternoon (5/7/07), and ending with a Philadelphia Vireo at
my place in western Lewis County this morning (5/8/07), I found six
species of vireos in less than 24 hours in this general vicinity.
The other four (Yellow-throated, Warbling, Red-eyed, and White-eyed)
were in both counties on both days.

Other interesting sightings yesterday -- a subadult Bald Eagle seen
at very close range at the former Monsanto Ponds in Maury County, and
two Semipalmated Plovers at the nearby Roberts Bend Road Hogwallow.
