Dee, Right after my husband and i moved to Nashville (just off Music Row) on May 1st and started putting sunflower seed out to attract the birds to our little bitty yard, we had a pregnant squirrel "move in". She got so big and waddly and fond of peanuts, we almost had her hand-trained. We eventually saw 3 little ones. That was the beginning of June, to our best recollection. We've lately seen a recently fledged male Cardinal following parents to the feeder. Earlier in the summer, we had parents feeding a male and a female. We haven't seen a hummer at the feeder for about a week. And the House Finch numbers are WAY down. The Music Square Common Nighthawks are no longer beeping and fluttering overhead in the evenings. ::sigh:: Can we expect something new and interesting to arrive soon??
