Sightings Report April 24 07 Ensley Bottoms Area Memphis Shelby County
Location: TN 2 Mem, TE Maxwell Lagoons
Observation date: 4/24/07, 1140am-120pm
Notes: Longer lunch today to watch the birds. Two Semipalmated
Sandpipers kept me busy. Solitary Sandpipers were all along the levees,
every 20-30 feet another would flush a couple of feet to give a good look
and then return to what it was doing. The 6 Pipits were at the beginning of
pond 5 near the levee intersection. They were mixing with a couple of RW
Blkbds and some Pects and Yellowlegs. Heavily streaked Breast, slightly pale
yellow-orange seen under chin when birds cocked thier heads sideways, dark
legs.
