Comments: Sunny, slight breeze, high in the 70's. Still alot of dirtwork
happening during the work day. several pumps and heavy equipment pieces on the
levees. Lots of shorebirds have come in, of course just in time for the first
weekend in May. Memphis in May.

Black-bellied Whistling-Duck 80 80+ Scattered in the lagoon number five
area many laying low.

Blue-winged Teal 62 mostlly in the lagoon number five area
Turkey Vulture 2
American Coot 5
Semipalmated Plover 1 FOS, Pit five hanging with the huge mixed flock of
shorebirds and waterfowl.

Solitary Sandpiper 157 Scattered all over the place good numbers in pit
five
Greater Yellowlegs 6
Lesser Yellowlegs 325 325+ Most dominant bird out here as the numbers go
Stilt Sandpiper 2 Down in the east central area where alot of new digging
going on. What water was there was holding some nice birds.
Dunlin 1 Didn't spot this one until I processed my pictures and there it
was next to some LB Dowitchers.
Pectoral Sandpiper 125 125+ mixed in in the flock on pit 5
Semipalmated Sandpiper 5
Long-billed Dowitcher 26 Nice to see these big billed beauties Pit f in
the grassy marsh area they were feeding.
Wilson's Phalarope 7 While scanning the edge of the flock there they were
scattered among the masses.
Mourning Dove 7
Eastern Kingbird 9 Southern section of pit five in the tall weedy growth
Northern Rough-winged Swallow 7

Palm Warbler 4 Seen in the high weedy grassy wet fields S-SW of pit five
