Sightings Report 25 April 07 Ensley Bottoms Area, Memphis, Shelby County
Location:     TN 2 Mem, Riverport Rd Ponds / Swamp

Observation date:     4/25/07, 1150am-1215pm

Notes:     Rainy weather today but had to go to the bottoms to see
something. Sloughs and ponds at Riverport Rd had a varied amt of birds.

Canada Goose     2

Wood Duck     1

Blue-winged Teal     2

Green Heron     8

American Coot     2

Solitary Sandpiper     1

Mourning Dove     6

Northern Flicker     1

Northern Rough-winged Swallow     2

Barn Swallow     9

Eastern Bluebird     2

Northern Mockingbird     1

Northern Cardinal     1

Red-winged Blackbird     7

Common Grackle     27

Brown-headed Cowbird     6

Location:     TN 2 Mem, Maxson Wastewater Lagoons(The Pits)/Earth Complex

Observation date:     4/25/07,1215-1245pm

Notes:     Since it rained today I stayed off the levees with the vehicle I
had so I scanned the cut fields looking for Upland Sandpipers. But there
were none. Meadowlarks singing up a storm though.

Rock Pigeon     3

Mourning Dove     2

Barn Swallow     12

Red-winged Blackbird     15

Eastern Meadowlark     5

Location:     TN 2 Mem,TVA PONDS

Observation date:     4/25/07,1245-1pm

Notes:     Not much happening today at TVA.
