This message is to invite everyone to a joint field trip between the John
Sellars Chapter and the Knoxville Chapter of TOS. We are calling it:
THE SHOREBIRD RENDEZVOUS AT RANKIN BOTTOMS.
We will all meet up at Rankin Bottoms WMA on Douglas Lake at 3:00pm Eastern
time on Saturday August 25, 2018 for a fun afternoon of shorebirds and what
ever else is around.
Make plans to join us. I hope our east Tennessee birding friends will join
in on the fun. Bring your scopes, binocs, cameras, kayaks, canoes, snacks
and plenty to drink. Let's make this a great afternoon of studying and
learning shorebirds. No experience level required. No club membership
required. Just show up.
If anyone from Middle Tennessee would like to join us, the Sellars Club
will be meeting at the Cedars of Lebanon State Park Nature Center at
10:00am on Saturday morning and carpooling up to Rankin Bottoms. Feel free
to join us. If you would like directions to Rankin Bottoms go to the
Tennessee Watchable Wildlife site look under East Tennessee section . I
believe Rankin WMA is number 65.
