I just accepted a Park Ranger 3 position at Meeman Shelby Forest and I’m
really excited about the birding there. Looking forward to joining in on
MTOS trips!

Here’s short list of arrivals over the past week that I’ve noticed on
patrol and where I first observed them:

- Black-throated Blue Warbler (Stables)
- Hooded Warbler (Piersol Lake)
- Yellow-throated Warbler (Piersol Lake, but abundant in many places)
- Yellow-throated Vireo (Piersol Lake)
- White-eyed Vireo (Visitor Center)
- Northern Parula (Piersol Lake)
- Barn Swallow (Poplar Tree Lake)
- Northern Rough-winged Swallow (Poplar Tree Lake)
- Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (Island 40)
- Prothonotary Warbler (heard while patrolling Island 40)
