Tn-birders, Ed Manous was the only brave soul to join Dollyann and me up on Sharp's ridge this morning to kick off our KTOS Thursday morning bird walks up on Sharp's Ridge, Knox County, Tn. The very crisp weather helped keep activity to a minimum but we eventually had a few nice experiences. Here are the highlights: - warblers: 1 Yellow-throated, 10+ Yellow-rumped, 3-4 Black-throated Green, 1 gorgeous Black-and-white male. - a Blue-headed Vireo - a Ruby-crowned Kinglet in full song mode - lots of robins and Blue Jays about - a few Blue-gray Gnatcatchers - a nice male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker Just enough to keep us coming back next Thursday at 8 a.m. at the old ranger's house. Great birding to all, Ron Hoff Clinton, TN =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
