Sorry about the mistake--let's try again. My mother and I visited Sharp's Ridge today-4/23 from ~8:00-12:15. Had a good day w/ some FOS birds and an unexpected lifer--BREWSTER'S WARBLER. It was at the pulloff after the gazebo. We both saw a bird w/ white underparts--Mom moved on but I stayed w/ it. When it came lower I briefly saw a yellow cap, black line through the eye, yellowish wing-bars, and blue-gray back/wings. It made a 3-note buzz as I recall. I called Mom over but she only saw it flying away to the east. It flew in the direction of 2 other birders--one said he thought he heard a Golden-Winged-like voice but they didn't see it. Another highlight was a very close, long look at a beautiful BARRED OWL in a pine overhanging the road east of the pulloffs around the gazebo. Below is a partial list. Amer.
